Historically, the family unit was designed around distinctly defined roles for men and women. Women were traditionally charged with domestic responsibilities, acting as full-time homemakers, while men were seen as the primary breadwinners, diligently commuting to their workplaces daily to financially support the family. These societal norms were so deeply embedded that men often felt no obligation to share in household tasks or even engage in child-rearing.
In our modern society, traditional roles within the family structure have dramatically shifted towards a more balanced distribution of responsibilities between spouses. As the gender divide blurs, it’s increasingly typical to witness working mothers fiercely juggling careers and child-rearing, while fathers embrace the principal caregiving role within the home.
