#48: A Wild Ride
There’s no denying that everything used to be cheaper in past decades. But when we talk about the cost of living and rising prices, we usually talk about groceries, housing, or petrol prices. No one talks about amusement parks, but they have also increased their prices over the years.
This photo shows a ticket for ten rides at Disneyland from 1955. That’s right; there was a time when a Disneyland ticket was less than $5. Today, it’s over a hundred dollars per ticket! We didn’t realize how expensive it’s gotten over the years. It’s hard to imagine it’s supposed to be a family activity.
