#39: A Vintage Medicine Bag
Modern medicine has come a long way, even compared to just a few years ago. Practicing medicine as a doctor was most likely a whole different ball game back in the 1930s. This retro medicine bag exemplifies what a doctor might have carried with them while practicing in the ‘30s.
If you zoom in, you can see medication bottles for ailments such as migraines and nausea. This tiny medicine bag wouldn’t have been as colorful back in the ‘30s. Colored pills didn’t come out until the 1950s. Most medications from the Great Depression were pressed powder with no coating or capsules. While the pills have been replaced, the bottles are authentic.
