#31: Times Square, 1958
Any history buff knows what it’s like to stare at old photographs and wonder what it was like to live in another time. This vintage photo of New York City immediately transports us back in time. According to the original poster of this photo, it was taken by their father in 1958 on Kodachrome film.
As we can see, Times Square has been a busy energy hub for decades. It’s so cool to see the retro taxis and the old-school advertisements. Instead of overwhelming digital screens and insane traffic, there are light-up signs and plenty of pedestrians. Some things never change, while other aspects of life are completely different.
