#28: Vintage Lysol
Cleaning products don’t usually come to mind when we think of “vintage.” However, vintage cleaning products do exist, and they’re fascinating. This retro Lysol packaging features a brown glass bottle of cleaning concentrate. That’s some strong stuff. We can’t say for sure, but this vintage product might be from the 1960s or ‘70s.
This concentrate was strong and intended to be mixed with water for cleaning. Lysol has been around since the late 1880s. It’s always been marketed as a cleaning solution, but during the ‘40s and ‘50s, it was also marketed as a feminine hygiene product. It goes without saying, but don’t use Lysol on your body. That stuff is only for cleaning solid, inanimate surfaces!
