If you know anything about the Golden Globe winner Valerie Bertinelli or her now-estranged husband Tom Vitale, chances are you’ve heard a little bit about the ongoing separation that started last year and is coming to a height in recent months. In November 2021, Valerie filed for legal separation in November which led to amending her filing to petition for divorce in May. Her reason cited was “irreconcilable differences” after having been married to Vitale for over ten years. Nobody truly knows what happened to cause the initial separation, but the divorce was expected after that filing back in November.
Back in 2011, when the couple got married, Valerie described their relationship and marriage as being an extremely happy point of her life and that she wanted to share how much she loved Vitale with her friends and family via marriage. It seemed to be going very well for the couple.
There were still some unique and ongoing feelings appearing between Valerie and her previous partner Eddie Van Halen, with whom she shared a child and had separated in 2007.
