#22: Rollerblade Barbie
This is perhaps one of the most iconic looks of the Barbie movie, and there’s no doubt we’re going to see a lot of Rollerblade Barbies this Halloween. The Rollerblade Barbie doll, introduced in the 1990s, featured a Barbie doll with rollerblading accessories, reflecting the popular trend of rollerblading at the time. Despite its popularity, it was eventually discontinued due to safety concerns and changing consumer interests.

The doll’s rollerblades, while stylish, posed potential safety hazards, as young children could be at risk of injuries while attempting to mimic Barbie’s movements. Besides that, as trends in sports and outdoor activities evolved, rollerblading became less popular, and other toys and activities captured the attention of children. These factors combined eventually led Mattel to discontinue the Rollerblade Barbie doll.
