The path to success isn’t linear. “Success,” by the way, is going to look very different to different people. Maybe success to you means climbing the corporate ladder and becoming CEO, but maybe it means getting really good at baking and making the best cupcake ever.

The point I was trying to get at is that the path to success is not linear. It’s not always a case of we work hard and are immediately rewarded for our efforts. Sometimes we do our best but things still go really badly, but it’s only by pushing through those moments that we reach our eventual final success.
