#43: Learning to Adapt
In life, it’s important to know when to stand firm and when to bend. When it comes to holding to our own ideals and principles and morals, we need to hold firm and not allow pressure from people around us or the opinions of society at large to move us from what we believe to be right.
But when it comes to things like our circumstances, which are sometimes out of our control, we will be much happier if we can learn to adapt to the vessel we’re in, like water does. If you don’t like your circumstances, you can always work to change them. But in the meantime, you’re going to be happier and more comfortable if you can learn to adapt and be flexible and gracious.
