#19: The Two-Party System
A lot of people are pretty disillusioned with the political landscape. Bring up politics in any social situation, and you’re bound to see dramatic eye-rolls and anxiety-inducing reactions. Everyone is over it! Don’t even get people started on famous elected officials. No matter what side of the political spectrum someone is on, they’re bound to have something negative to say.
Everyone has a point, generally speaking. Some of these people in power seem completely inadequate and underwhelming. Can’t we try something new or get some fresh faces in the political rotation? Things are always changing, so it remains to be seen how future generations will feel about politicians. Maybe our elected officials will improve! That’s certainly an optimistic take, right?
