#42: Our Inner Worlds
We sometimes choose to withhold certain aspects of our lives from the people we love, not out of secrecy, but because some experiences are profoundly personal and difficult to convey to anyone, even those closest to us. We fear that they may not be able to understand the complexity of our emotions.
While we all seek support and understanding from our loved ones, there are facets of our lives that remain locked within our hearts, offering a reminder of the depth of our inner worlds. Our storyteller’s friend had withheld a big part of his identity – his religious inclination – from those around him, probably feeling this was too personal and delicate to share.
