#19: We’re Never Eating Cheesecake Again
No one wants to think of their parents as sexual human beings; that’s a given. Seeing semi-nude photographs of your parents is a whole other level of awkwardness. Unfortunately, that’s what happened to this OP’s dad when he was cleaning out his deceased father’s personal items. This OP and his dad were worried about finding racy magazines, but what they did find turned out to be way worse.
For those of you who aren’t familiar, the term ‘cheesecake photograph’ is slang for photographs showcasing shapely and scantily clothed women. The term’s origin traces back to an incident in New York when a news photographer asked a woman to lift her skirt slightly to improve a picture. The woman obliged, and when the editor saw the resulting image on his desk, he was so impressed that he famously exclaimed, “Why, this is better than cheesecake!”
