No matter how well we think we know our grandparents, there can be hidden facets to their lives that remain unknown to us. Sometimes, this occurs due to generational gaps or a desire to protect us from certain truths. It’s a reminder that every individual, regardless of age, possesses a complex and multifaceted identity.
This family knew that their grandmother was growing potatoes, but we guess they never really questioned why. It’s not uncommon for grandmas to grow vegetables, and maybe she really liked potatoes. Only after her death did her grandkids found out what was behind all the potatoes: their sweet old grandma was making homemade vodka.
