#40: Trick or Treat
This is one of those dumb myths that just won’t go away. In reality, there is almost no documented evidence of anyone ever tampering with Halloween candy. This myth started in the 1970s and gained widespread attention thanks to sensationalized news coverage, and it never died down.

It seems kind of crazy that people would assume this when that would be an awful lot of effort to go to in order to hurt someone you don’t even know. Instead of obsessing over something that isn’t real, perhaps people should be more concerned with the health risks of all the sugar in Halloween candy…
