As you get older and gain more wisdom and perspective, you come to realize that Hollywood movies are not a good representation of anything. Unless it’s a movie that deliberately sets out to recreate a specific place or time, most of them have elements that are completely unrealistic.

And I’m not talking about dragons or anything; I’m just talking about the fact that most characters in movies and TV shows live in absurdly large houses and apartments. When you’re a kid, you accept the house from Home Alone as normal because the movie tells you it’s normal. When you’re adult, you look at that house and realize that your entire condo would fit in the garage.
