Ho, Ho, Ho: The Wholesome, Inappropriate and Wild Requests Mall Santas Have Heard from Kids

Kids can make visits with Santa really awkward. The thing is, they have no idea that they’re making it awkward because they don’t know what we adults know about the world. One kid asked Santa for a new set of parents because his current ones “yell all night.” Yikes. Poor kid.

This kid probably thought his Christmas wish was pretty innocent and unremarkable. But as an adult, Santa knew that this kid’s wish for new parents revealed a tumultuous and stressful home life. Our storyteller, who was the Santa in question, wonders where this kid is today. Here’s hoping his parents stopped fighting and everyone lived happily ever after.
