Kids can get hyper-fixated on some pretty weird things. This storyteller works with kids on a daily basis. Around the holidays, they started asking their students about what they wanted for Christmas. Most of the kids wanted pretty standard stuff, but one kid wanted a paper shredder. Yes, the classic run-of-the-mill office staple.

After Christmas rolled around, our storyteller learned that Santa came through for this kid. He ended up getting a paper shredder for Christmas. He was as happy as a clam, explaining all the different settings of his brand-new shredder. His parents were probably weirded out but somewhat relieved that they didn’t have to spend too much money that gifts that year.
