ADHD for Christmas
Mall Santas have a harder job than meets the eye. They have to decipher totally off-the-wall requests from kids while maintaining a jolly “ho, ho, ho” demeanor. This person had a kid say to him, “All I want for Christmas is ADHD.” Our storyteller had no idea why a little kid would want to be bequeathed with attention-deficient hyperactivity disorder.
We have no idea, either. Maybe all of his friends had been diagnosed with ADHD and he was feeling left out. Our storyteller was absolutely baffled because this kid’s face was totally innocent. Did he even know what he was asking for? We’ll never know. All we know is that he was sure of what he wanted.
