Ho, Ho, Ho: The Wholesome, Inappropriate and Wild Requests Mall Santas Have Heard from Kids

There are times when little kids ask for very practical, yet impossible, gifts. This storyteller’s dad works as a mall Santa and clearly remembers a kind of funny, kind of heartbreaking request from one kid in particular. This kid asked Santa to let his dad out of jail. That’s quite a request.

According to this kid, his dad was in jail for a ludicrous reason. All his dad did was grow plants in their backyard. Why would he end up in jail for that? Obviously, these were “special” plants that are not legally smiled upon in most states. But this kid was too young to know that, thankfully. All he wanted was his dad back. Sadly, Santa can’t interfere with the legal system.
