You should keep an eye on your credit card balance, and not for the reason you think. Someone who works for a credit company confessed that they will raise your interest rate for no reason. Sure, they legally have to notify you at least 45 days beforehand, but who pays attention to those emails?
Keep an eye on your interest rate, and call to complain if you notice anything sketchy going on. The anonymous employee said that credit companies raise interest rates and bank on the fact that most people don’t take the time to call and complain. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, as they say.
