They take the time to hunt down coupons, mail in their rebates, and stay on the phone with customer service for hours to get a few bucks back. While these efforts are admirable, it’s safe to say that most of us don’t have the patience or focus to do most of these money-saving tactics. 

Companies know that most people won’t jump through hoops to save money. That’s why they often offer rebates instead of cash discounts. They know that fewer people will go through the effort of filling out the forms, mailing in the necessary documents, and tracking their refund. It’s our loss, really. Maybe we should all put a little more effort into saving money. It’s worth it!
