#39: Clean Your Cans
As a kid, your mom might have taught you to always wipe down the tab of your soda can before opening it. We’re here to say that your mom was right. You should absolutely wash the top of your can before taking a sip. Someone who used to work in a warehouse confessed that storage conditions for aluminum cans were often unsanitary.
Warehouses that store shelf-stable cans are often dirty and full of mice. Who knows what has crawled over your beloved can of Coca-Cola before you bought it at the store? On top of that, most warehouse workers climb on pallets of cans, touch them with dirty hands, and sit on them.
