If you think banks are above upselling you unnecessary services, you’d be wrong. No business is immune! A former bank teller revealed that there’s a less-than-innocent reason they ask customers all sorts of questions. They’re required to ask you thorough questions about income and the like because the bank wants to sell you products.
Each bank assessment filters customers into certain categories. Those categories have certain products that customers are more likely to sign up for or buy. Keep this information in mind if you don’t like upselling! Some banks make these products sound like requirements, but that’s definitely not the case.
