#18: Get Them While They’re Hot
Do you ever wonder what happens to a restaurant’s leftover food at the end of the day? Well, you might not want to know. If this job secret is any indication, a lot of places tend to reuse old food. Someone dished the deets about what it was like to work at a sports stadium hotdog stand.
At the end of the day, the employees were required to save the cooked, unsold hot dogs. They’d scrape the bun bread off the dogs and plunge them into a bucket of hot dog water. Yum. Hot dogs are pretty processed to begin with, so this method of storage was probably okay, if not a little gross. What you don’t know won’t hurt you!
