#45: Roses Are Red, So Is Blood
Human blood is red, and there is plenty of scientific evidence of this. It might appear as different shades of red depending on oxygen levels, but it’s always red. However, for some inexplicable reason, there’s a wide misconception that our blood is blue until it touches oxygen.
We don’t know when and how that muth started. Some animals in the natural world, mostly crustaceans, have blue blood. But what do we have in common with crustaceans? That can’t be the reason why people think human blood is blue.
