#22: Added Flavor
This packaging is misleading, but it’s also innovative. We have to give them brownie points for this level of cleverness. Someone recently purchased this sweet treat, but they were surprised when they opened the plastic wrap. It turns out that the manufacturer printed fake sugar or coconut flakes onto the plastic to make the sweet look more enticing.
Those fake toppings do look real at first glance. This is a really strange way to make a product look more enticing to shoppers. However, it’s pretty effective. Maybe most shoppers aren’t too upset by the misleading packaging. We guess it depends on how delicious the sweet treat really is, regardless of how much sugar is sprinkled on top.
