Poor Detroit, the Cinderella story in reverse. Once the belle of the economic ball, it gleamed with industry and the sweet purr of the assembly line. It was the motor city with a V8 engine of wealth. Now, it’s a testament to the fickleness of fortune, trading in its glass slipper for steel-toed boots.

But don’t count it out yet; this underdog has grit and soul, and if any city can turn a pumpkin back into a carriage, it’s Detroit. It’s the American dream on a loop, reminding us that every peak has its valley—and maybe, just maybe, it’s time for the climb back up.
