15. Beware the Bering Strait
The United States and Russia do not share a direct land border. However, they do have maritime boundaries in the Bering Strait, which separates the Russian Far East from the state of Alaska. This strait, at its narrowest point, spans approximately 55 miles (90 kilometers) and serves as the boundary between the two countries.

Despite the geographical proximity, the United States and Russia maintain distinct territories on opposite sides of the Bering Strait, with the United States possessing the western shoreline and Russia controlling the eastern shoreline. This maritime boundary serves as a significant point of reference in international relations and geopolitics.
