Average Male Height in European Countries
Height is the coveted attribute for many young boys during their formative years and can sometimes turn into a source of frustration for adults. Nearly everyone, it seems, desires just a touch more stature – besides maybe in the lands of Northern Europe and Scandinavia. A glance at this map illustrating the average heights of European males unveils this discrepancy.

That’s not to say that Southern Europeans, and certainly not the Bosnians, are diminutive in stature. However, when compared to their counterparts in the Netherlands, Germany, or Scandinavia, there is a noticeable contrast. In these northern realms, a taller stature appears to be the norm rather than the exception. Not that Americans have much to complain about in that department.
