#35: New Phone
Going off of our previous comic strip, this is a comment about our society’s obsession with new technology. Even when we have a perfectly functioning phone, we can’t resist the allure of a shiny new toy. It’s a comical exaggeration of our culture’s obsession with consumption and constant upgrading.
And the worst part is that there’s no end to it. We will always be blinded by what’s new and shiny, and we will always think what we have is not enough. And to be honest, that doesn’t apply only to technology. It’s true when it comes to clothes, houses, and even relationships. That’s the curse of human nature (well, at least one of them).
