#25: Relay Race
This is a pretty accurate take on the age-old debate about generational differences. Our ancestors were rugged, determined, hard-working individuals who conquered the wilderness, built empires, and fought wars, while our generation is mostly lazy, entitled, technology-obsessed individuals who can barely put down their phones long enough to tie their own shoes.
It’s an exaggeration, of course, but it highlights the way we tend to romanticize the past and demonize the present. That’s why our parents and grandparents are looking down at us with a mixture of pity and disgust, while we’re too busy taking selfies and ordering pizza to even notice. It’s a funny reminder that maybe we’re not so different after all – just a little more comfortable.
