#24: All-Time Attendance
Fans flock to college football games in huge numbers. The biggest crowd to ever attend a college football game happened in 2013 at the University of Michigan’s Michigan Stadium. Nicknamed “The Big House” by fans, it certainly lived up to its name during an iconic game between the Wolverines and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Michigan Stadium hosted a whopping 115,109 fans, breaking the record for all-time attendance for a college football game. Michigan Stadium was the best venue for this to happen because it’s the largest stadium in the United States and the third-largest stadium in the world. Officially, the stadium can seat 107,601. Some fire codes were probably violated with those extra 7,508 fans, but oh well!
