#22: Tornado Watch
Nothing will stop a college football team from playing. Not even an extreme weather warning. North Texas and Kansas State played a game against each other on April 11, 2011, despite an active tornado warning. Now, that’s true dedication to the game. All jokes aside, tornadoes are no joke. Someone could have been seriously injured!
Thankfully, that wasn’t the case. If this picture is any indication, it looks like fans weren’t allowed to attend the game. Either that or no one dared to venture out in their car during the tornado warning. Smart fans. We can’t help but wonder what the football players and coaches were thinking while playing this game in an empty stadium. It must have felt pretty eerie.
