#20: A Long Shot
The National Collegiate Athletics Association, commonly known as the NCAA, is the gold standard for college football. However, there’s another association of college football teams that are just as worthy of fans. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, or NAIA, is comprised of colleges that provide athletic scholarships and coach teams that are just as good as NCAA D2 or D3 teams.
In fact, an NAIA team has held a substantial record for several decades. None of the NCAA teams have been able to beat it. Ove Johannson of Abilene Christian kicked the longest field goal ever in 1976. The field goal was 69 yards and still stands as the longest kick on record. Take that, NCAA!
