#15: Down the Drain
If you’ve got a baby—or if you’re just someone who likes to be fresh and clean on, shall we say, a very personal level—you might be really excited by the idea of flushable wipes. What’s not to like about a wipe that can be tossed in the toilet because it breaks down in the sewage system?
But before you get too excited, I have bad news: there’s not an industry standard to determine when something can and can’t be labeled “flushable,” and testing by outside parties has shown that even flushable wipes are super bad for your plumbing. So, it’s time to start using the trash can.
