#28: Tie the Knot
This is yet another example of a cabinet door handle that sounds like a great idea on paper until you have to use it. A twisted twine handle is perfect for an outdoor treehouse hatch or a nautical-themed house, but not so great for an interior door in a house or a cabinet.
If this is in the kitchen, imagine the food that’s bound to get caught up in all of those tiny fibers, especially in the spaces between the twists, right next to the bindings. There’s no good way to clean rope, so you’d just be stuck with whatever nastiness is going on there. And that’s not even considering if this were the handle for the bathroom door – who knows what kind of awful things could be growing in there?
