Okay, so… I think we can all agree that this story takes the cake when it comes to awkward first dates. Well, it’s a tough call, there are a lot of questionable stories on the list, but this one makes the top three, for sure. How would you react if something like this happened to you? I’d probably lose all faith in humankind.

There’s nothing particularly wrong with the proposal – some people are into that, and we’re not here to judge. What’s wrong with this story is that this guy was basically lying to this poor woman. He never mentioned being married or what were his intentions and he pretty much led her on to believe they were going on a normal date, just the two of them.
